NOBODY is dropping that smooth introspective music better than Swerve & SYG and it seems appropriate that as I wait for the team to drop Cold Winters & Warm Whiskey 2 that I share this video with you. It’s dope and typifies the M.O.
King Ramses hit me with some new music. I am not sure who he is or where he hails from but this dude is cranking out some serious music with some serious ambition. He has an album dropping on 4/15/2013 called Making Of Ramses. He is releasing 21 videos leading up to that release. That’s serious! Now I can’t guarantee we will post all of them here because that’s a lot of space dictated to one artist when you are only posting up to five pieces of music a day but we will get a few of them to you. This emcee has a lot of talent and is dropping the bars the way we like em’…RUGGED.
Sparkingtin and Soulslicers did it once and they are about to do it again. In 2011 they teamed up to drop The Exit Started It. That EP was tight as hell. I still walk around my house yelling upon occasion….Punch You In The Face For No Apparent Reason! They are going to drop version 1.5 this spring and this joint sounds pretty ill to me. What do you think? I think this beat is going to sprain some necks…
Off of Swollen Members forthcoming album, Beautiful Death Machine. I hope the music is as dark as the title and this song suggests because nobody did darkness better than Swollen Members. This song is eerily reminiscent of a track that might have been heard off of Balance (which is not a good thing…it’s a great thing). It just has that haunting vibe. Also, I know Madchild gets a lot of press, but does anyone else think Prevail’s incredibly underrated?
One of the dopest cuts off of MaLLy and The Sundance Kid’s dope album, …The Last Great which was one of the Ten Best Albums From 2012. I like what they did by integrating different people in the video. That’s fresh.
Side Effect has a new project, Flyest On Papyrus, that I will be reviewing in the coming days. But before I put that review to print, I missed this video for the track Cyber Bully and wanted to share it. No matter his locale, Side Effect always brings the A game.
Ok. I am not going to pretend that I understand every facet of the plot that is going on in this video but I will telly ou what I do know beyond a shadow of a doubt…Original Text is dope and makes great music. I just got hip to them in 2012 and hope to hear more from them in 2013. You can DL there EP, The Out Number for free HERE.
I have to tell you when I first heard and saw this, it brought a smile to my face. I thought this was a very dope concept and the two emcees, Felix Nobody and Notepad, really play well off of each other. It reminded me of some Digable Planets material. The video was also very artistically done. All together this track hits the mark to be one of the five posted tracks today.
If you like this, you may want to check out their mixtape, PAINT.
This is the best track off of JustMe’s latest album, Full Disclosure. It’s that soulful and meaningful hip hop that’s a game changer in today’s cookie cutter environment. It’s always good to hear people dropping music with purpose and intent. Sheisty Khrist’s verse is golden as he takes it to a biblical level. Dope.
Craig G debuts the first video off of his album from late last year, Ramblings Of An Angry Old Man. The premise is simple and repeated several times:
Originality is a must…
Check the album people. This man is a legend who is still bring raw hip hop flavors.
