Soul Khan – Rusted Ghosts (ft. Arthur Lewis) (Official Video)

This song is for anybody that appreciate the art and symbolism of tattooing.  Soul Khan shares with you the story as to how he first got a tattoo.  He remembers the lists of things his mother said against it and then the meaning these pieces hold for him now.  It’s a smooth and meaningful joint.

Today he offers his latest EP, Psalm, on iTunes.  It’s redone in some capacity though I haven’t had the time to compare the versions.  Check it out.

Blame One & J57 – They Don’t Know (ft. Akie Bermiss)

Beautiful music.  What can I say that the music isn’t already preaching (no pun intended)?  J57 shows us once again that he is a master of his craft.  This arrangement is perfection.  Akie Bermiss lends a chorus that just takes you on a trip in between Blame One’s bars.  And speaking of those bars:  Blame One has always spoken on spirituality and his beliefs.  If you listen to his past music you will pick up on that.   His message is one of acceptance and blessing.  It isn’t preachy…it’s human.

Walk In The Sun drops on August 27th which seems eons away. But you can preorder it now.

Burke The Jurke – Pleasant Torment (Video)

This song must’ve been too hard for most blogs to post on.  I honestly can’t believe it hasn’t garnered more attention.  Mr. Green has banging keys on this joint, and Burke The Jurke leaves no bar untouched.  A real sick flow on this track.  I hate to use cliches but what the hell…this joint goes hard.

He has an album dropping called, Ear Responsible with no release date as of right now.  I will be looking for it though.

Undefined – Closed Caskets (ft. Peter Leo x Little Vic) (Video)

The first thing I want to say is that you don’t see chemistry on the microphone like this anymore.  Little Vic and Peter Leo spit these bars like they were on some EPMD shit.   It’s incredible the way they trade these bars.  I can’t compare it with anything recently.  The second thing I want to note is  the dope beat that Undefined crafts here, and his album, Certified A-Side, is chocked full of rhythms like this.  You need to check it out!  Lastly, the video is extremely well done.  The director really did a great job of accentuating the team work in the track.  Officially one of my favorite joints this year.

Grayskul – Come On (Video)

One of the illest sets from a show came courtesy of Grayskul.  They have a high energy skillset that gets you amped.  They also have a ton of material out there that people may not know about. (maybe it’s time for another discography…hmmm.)  There new album, Zenith is slated for September so be on the lookout.

Stryfe & Marc Byrd – War (Video)

Ok.  If this song doesn’t move you and make you want to hit something, we’ve got a problem.  This song is so dangerous to eardrums it may knock off your equilibrium.  I am not playing.  This song is coming off of Stryfe and Marc Byrd’s album, The Last Resorts.  That is a great album by the way.  If you are tired of the same old boring fuckery that befuddles the masses on a daily basis, you are going to want this album.  The duo surpasses limits and expectations.  Blam.
