Jamal STEELE – December RAIN (ft. Ant Carter) (Video)

Here’s an artist that comes with then endorsement of Praverb, and if Praverb is going to pus his name behind somebody, I am generally going to listen.  Jamal STEELE’s song, Decemeber RAIN, is chill yet also very contemplative.  We all have those days where we don’ know where we are going to draw the energy from and think about folding.  But we keep our heads up and keep striving forward.

So if you like introspective lyrics and music with a purpose (no pun intended) make sure you check out Jamal STEELE’s new album, Driving TOWARD our PURPOSE.

Supe – I Cant Wait (Video)

Well, without the good folk over a The Hip Hop Head I would never have caught on to this artist in their backyard of New Jersey.  Supe is brimming with confidence and rightfully so.  He’s got a nice flow and some dope production to rock over, so why not him?

He has a new album out entitled, Short for Superlative, so if you are digging this, make sure you give that a listen.

Awon & Dephlow – Real Hip Hop (Prod. by Phoniks) (Video)

When Awon and Dephlow say they are bringing that real hip hop, you can bet on that 100%.  This song, from the beat to the lyrics, is  authentic hip hop flavor that the HHD audience is sure to love.   This song is off of their collaborative album, Dephacation.  I have yet to check the project, though this song gave me the incentive I need to give it a listen.  If the album is anything like this cut, we will have a winner for sure.

Donnie Darko – One False Move Pt. 2 (Video)

Man it has been a minutes since I have head some new NSD material.   But the camp always has a habit of dropping a gem on us, so I can’t complain all that much.  Donnie Darko drops those high energy verbals all over this DJ Bless track.  That’s been THE combination that has taken NSD so far.  Always a great pairing.  And what can you learn from this track?  Be aware of your surroundings and don’t take the hood lightly or you will get got.

New album, Redemption, drops on June 10th.

Starvin B – Rap College (ft. Spit Gemz x Tragedy Khadafi) (Video)

Starvin B’s new album, Blood From A Stone is oh so good.  It’s one of my favorite albums to play from front to back this year and Starvin’s best work to date.  I have yet to meet anyone who disagrees with me on that last point.

One-Take handles all  of the production on the album and does an outstanding job.   It’s a true head knocker.  This track is one of the show stoppers from the album and also shows you that Spit Gemz is as potent as ever with his bars.

“A dollar and a dream will get you a shit sandwich…”   <—- Ain’t that the truth!

I Am Many – Party Dave (Video)

Here in lies the lifestyle and story of one, Party Dave, as portrayed by I Am Many.    It just goes to show you, that you are one arm wrestling match from losing it all (under breath chuckle).  I Am Many has a style all unto himself making him one of the most unique artists around.  The track can be found on his new album, Obese.

eMC – Charly Murphie (Video)

I have already talked about the song itself.  The video is pretty straight forward.  It’s four incredibly talented emcees rocking over the boom bap version of Three Blind Mice.  It get’s no realer!

…you don’t really want to get into a place, where you learn what the five fingers said to the face…” – Masta Ace

The Turning Point drops on May 20th.  You know that you are feeling it!
