This is a remix 8-BZA worked out for one of Revelation’s tracks off of his latest mixtape, Feature Presentation. The remix is pretty ill, complimented perfectly with the Dirty Harry references in the background. All of the emcess murk the record but Streat really sets the tone with that first sixteen. Just an intense delivery like he’s inflicting pain on the track.
Single You Out: Rayce – Heaven (prod. by Cookbook)
Rayce is easily one of my favorite young artists making music. Ever since we started sharing his music last year, he has displayed amazing consistency in quality without any watered down material. Rayce is also always a very introspective individual. He’s not afraid to dig a little bit deeper than a lot of other artists. If you don’t get, you just don’t get it. Check a piece of his first verse:
Heaven, is it figurative or literal? A parable to match all these stories that are biblical? Enlightenment? Heightening of senses we’re given? Somewhere along the lines of alchemy and spiritualism?
The production is being catered by Cookbook from LA Symphony fame.
Single You Out: Nutso – This City Of Mine
Nutso is back cranking out these head-cracker rhythms. This song has an assortment of components going on. It has a Spanish rhythm at times, a boom bap element, and at other times a flute dominates the background. The production is effectively handled by duo Grand Muzik and Buda Future. Nutso, being the consistent artist he is, delivers a steady diet of rugedness.
I sense a new project on the horizon. No days off.
Single You Out: Nems – Non Fiction (ft. AG DA CORONER)
When I think of ‘tough’ bars these two are some of the first to come to mind. Nems and AG Da Coroner play like the Grim Reaper on this banger of a track (production?). This is some ‘go out and smack a hipster’ type of music.
Cool FD x Macabeats – The Fix (cuts by DJ Grazzhoppa)
Cool FD and Macabeats are back at it again with their new cut, The Fix. These guys are good and I mean really good. I don’t know these artists on a day in, day out basis but I can appreciate the work ethic and the talent they collaborate with and the consistency with which they do it. Working with DJ Grazzhoppa is always a win and I mention him every chance I get, because working with him gives your track a definitive boost. The track is smooth, yet bangs, while Macabeats drops some jewels:
…Keep it a 100 jack/ I’m trying to get my numbers back / Seven beats a week, chop a sample like a lumberjack / And when I start bubble Ima double back / Tell the haters Hi, then I run it back…It’s Mac!
Single You Out: Rahim Samad – Certified
Rahim Samad is not done making that dope music even after just releasing an album, Travel Properly: Motion Picture Soundtrack. This instrumental really compliments Samad’s flow considerably. It’s laid back and his voice just rises to the top, commanding attention. Samad is mad underrated in my mind but I can easily see him generating the buzz to push him to the next level.
Single You Out: Rubiks – Uh – Oh (Prod. Rich Kidd)
I was not familiar with Rubiks at all but I saw the at Rich Kidd did the production so I decided to check this track out. The end result of this collaboration is a really dope song. It’s got an uptempo and slightly industrial tone about it. The distorted guitar licks really give the track another dimension. Rubiks keeps a flow and tempo that give the track some excitement and the way he switches up his cadence really keeps things interesting. In the end both the production and emceeing make the track very dynamic.
He has a new mixtape set to drop entitled VOLUM3: Push Play #PushItRealGood.
Single You Out: Ancient Alienz – Ancient Alchemy
If you haven’t copped this Ancient Alienz joint by now, you all are sleeping on something immaculate. These guys are on some other shit lyrically and hopefully their much anticipated album is going to make it out soon. They have a unique style lyrically. They aren’t talking about the same ol’ same but at the same time, they aren’t dropping crazy material that is hard to follow either. They also have a knack for that dope production. Joey Juggz gets behind the boards on this one and the GZA along with the guitar work is that premium product. Check it!
Single You Out: F.T. – Forgive My Nightmares (ft. Bekay and Nutso)
The gems are raining today! F.T. and Musicman lace up a banger that induces craziness. I am a big fan of the sample Musicman uses on this track. It really makes this track go. But it goes without saying that F.T., Bekay, and Nutso all lend a heavy dose of lyricism to the cut making the listener feel just a little on edge.

Single You Out: Armageddon – Nightmares (Shawneci)
“1000 spiders, voodoo chants, choppers, and Salvador Dali on a Molly”….What do any of these seemingly randon things have to do with eachother. Nothing really, but Terror Squad Alumni Armageddon has married these oddities together to create something diabolical for the fans. Geddy releases his latest track, ‘Nightmares’.
The song threatens to take you into the deepest recesses of Geddy’s mind to explore his brooding perception of today’s Hip Hop that will leave you there with foreboding visages of blood stained pavements and things that lurk in the shadows. The eerie production from Shawneci serves as a guide through those dark passage ways we seldom want to wander while our emcee litters the track with sinister but truly exceptional wordplay.”
