Rock Bars is exactly that! Each emcee brings exceptional lyricism in an era with the art and craft of wordplay is supremely diluted. You need to check this!
Single You Out: Slicenberg – Pros And CONS (ft. Revelation)
New jawn from the EMS camp! Slicenberg invites Revalation to drop some bars across his latest creation, Pros & CONS. The twinge of the guitar in the production gives it a taste of the blues while wrapped around the boom-bap drums. Meanwhile, Rev truly drops some tough bars at one point making it Biblical referencing Old Testament kingpin Hezekiah.
This joint is destined for Slicenberg (Soulslicers) new project, Keep It Sample.
Single You Out: Tools Beastly – Can’t Tell Me Nothing (ft. Termanology)
Here’s a dope track from Tools Beastly produced by Undefined and Termanology. This is a legit banger that follows with a halo of gunfire!
Not sure is this track is part of a greater project, but as a stand-alone it more than holds it’s own.
Single You Out: Endemic Emerald – Crown Royale (ft. Ruste Juxx, Kasim Allah & Top Notch)
This is a new joint from Endemic Emerald’s forthcoming offering, Black Bag Operation. Emerald has become somewhat of a specialist with that soulful boom bap flavor. The track has those snapping snares but a well placed vocal sample for some added depth. I really have not heard him do wrong behind the boards. Adding their flows to the joint are Ruste Juxx and Kasim Allah. So you know you have that hardbody flavor.
Single You Out: Rite Hook – The Motions (ft. Chris Rivers)
Rite Hook releases a new single from his forthcoming album, Modify. The cut features banging’ piano laced production from The Arcitpye and a fresh sixteen from Chris Rivers. This gong, like the first single, simply knock.
I am really excited to hear the album as Rite Hook’s discography gets more impressive with every release.
Single You Out: Cayoz – Leave Me Alone (ft. $am Santiago)
Finally, Cayoz has dropped his long awaited album, Beyond The Moniker. In truth I have been waiting for this album for over a year at this point. But it was definitely worth the wait.
Throughout the album, Cayoz shows the multiple facets of himself, with my favorite aspect being his interpersonal messages. He once again puts the thoughts and feelings that we all go through into brilliantly orchestrated music. Leave Me Alone, is the perfect example of what I am talking about. Who doesn’t feel the need to be left alone at some point?
Single You Out: Rite Hook – The Road (prod. by Sicknature)
Rite Hook is back with a Sicknature produced single as a prelude to his forthcoming album Modify. Rite Hook brings a ton of energy to the track along with his trademark gravelly-voiced hooks. Single You Out: Vorheez – Look Around (prod. by DJ Stress)
The emcee Vorheez has periodically released music over the course of the existence of Hip Hop Dependency and while the quantity of music may be limited, the quality is not. Case in point, is this DJ Stress produced banger. The beat is definitively funky, and Vorheez is kicking a raw flow with some slick metaphors.
