Single You Out: Saran Rap – Ferocious (ft. Agallah x Smoovth x Spit Gemz)

Here is a track, Ferocious, from Saran Rap’s recent EP, Heavy Crates. I am putting this out there because I think some heads are missing out on this project. It’s got a few heavy hitters in terms of emcees, and definitely has that boom bap appeal. I certainly think it fits the mold of what we are trying to do here at HipHopDependency.

Of course on this track you’ve got Agallah, Smoovth, and Spit Gemz slaying mics, and who doesn’t like that line up. Enjoy!

Single You Out: Binary Star – Slang Blade (Reprised)

One Be Lo takes a Binary Star classic from 1996, beefs up the drums, and then give it a renewed, 2016 lyrical twist.

Ifyou’renot up on Binary Star and their classic album, Masters Of The Universe, then you are probably not from around these parts. But, nonetheless, that album is timeless, so stop wasting time and cop that if you are just catching wind of it.

One Be Lo also has a reworking of another track which I will share in the course of the next few day. There’s no need to over due it though. Pace ourselves….

Single You Out: Little Vic – Glass Home

Little Vic is back with a new single that may actually symbolize the birth of a new project, White Devil. But regardless, this joint is simply vicious. The flow is nasty and really dominates every aspect of this song.

I was all about the punchlines then the wordplay grew up / If the cake is worth the candles then bring your birthday suit…

I will let you know if hear ANYTHING else about an album. You know I am waiting.

Single You Out: Grand Opus – Cen Cal Profile (ft. Planet Asia, Fashawn, and Overcome)

If you are not familiar with Grand Opus, it’s about time you get familiar. Grand Opus is comprised of Joc Scholar and Centric. They dropped two incredibly singles last year and this, their third, hmeans their new album, Forever, is around the corner. Dropping on March 22nd.

Their sound is ill and this time they bring in the mix a couple of heavyweights in Planet Asia and Fashawn.

Get ready…

Single You Out: Double Negative

Double Negative dropped this album, Krackatoa, not that long ago and it’s important that you give this album a chance. It’s incredibly ill. As a matter of fact, it could be my favorite from this year, at this point. The production is down right sinister and the emcees consistently deliver dense lyrics with tight interwove wordplay.

The Medicine Doesn’t Work Here, is an eery track that addresses the ills of society that are torn beyond repair. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

Single You Out: Snake Hollywood – Great Minds (ft. Dave East)

When Snake Hollywood drops a new song, heads should take notice. This man bends the English language to his whim and makes it seem effortless. The production has a very surreal vibe to it, but the lyricism from Hollywood and compadre, Dave East, slap those ear drums hard. As Hollywood puts it:

Don’t take my civilized nature as some soft shit…

Nor sir, no sir…not never. Be on the lookout for more music. It’s been too long.

Single You Out: Leeroy Destroy – The Last Boy Scout

This emcee, Leeroy Destroy, from Bloody Monk Consortium, has an ill flow on this track. It’s simply put, relentless. He never stops, it’s just bar after bar. This is pretty impressive and i hope to hear more from him. The production credits on this track go to FuckRico.

This track coupled with that Labal-S track I just posted, encourages me to check out more Bloody Monk material as I know there’s much to be heard.
