Single You Out: Kyle Hubbard – Point Of Life

I have been an avid Kyle Hubbard supporter since the beginning, and you best believe I take great pride in that fact. In my mind, he’s one of a dozen or so artists that really connects me to his music. I listen to his previous work all the time.

When you listen to a Kyle Hubbard record it’s almost like you are having a conversation with a friend, and he’s just dropping experience and life on you. You are going to hear that in this song, Point Of Life, and on his new album, All Good Things Come. I highly recommend you do yourself the service of checking it out.

Single You Out: Rock Mecca – Gladiator Schools (ft. Roc Marciano)

You want some fight club music this weekend? Yeah. I’ve got you covered. Rock Mecca and Roc Marciano go all out for the fight over this sublime production from Jake Palumbo.

The production has a lot of depth with a sonic appeal. I love how it varies over the course of the song. It almost feels tailored, especially for the Roc Marciano contribution.

I too am steadily looking forward to the album, Ironworld, which seems M.I.A. I’ve put in a request for some more information as to it’s whereabouts and when I have that, I will pass it on.

Single You Out: Ekundayo x Spitzwell – Looking Down

This is my favorite track off of Ekundayo and Spitzwell’s collaborative effort, Magnificent Brilliance. Listen to this production from Spitzwell! How dope is that craftsmanship?!?!?! You know it’s special. The violin/fiddle is legit along with the varying ways it is applied throughout the song. And Ekundayo’s flow is something serious, flipping intricate lyricism on the thin line of life and death.

Enjoy this one people!

Single You Out: Coal Cash – Whatever Dreams May Come (ft. Taboo)

I saw Coal Cash (Double Negative) had a new album out on Bandcamp, Unsung, and I really have liked what I have hear from him thus far, so I am checking it out. And it’s a definite win! This album is big on substance, powerful lyricism, and dope production. Father Focus Confucious produced the entire project and did an incredible job.

In order to celebrate the release of this project and get the word out, I wanted to showcase this track featuring his compadre Taboo. The two have such great chemistry and create some powerful bars that play so well off of each other. It’s over eight minutes of brilliance.

VerbzBeats x Depoli – Mind Over Matter (ft. Martin Salazar)

Can I put you guys onto something dope? I waited for a minute to check this album because I had a lot on my plate, but VerbzBeats and Deploi’s project, The Fever, is thorough from start to finish. The San Diego producer and LA based emcee have a really good sound going on here that I think people are really going to enjoy it once the word gets moving a little more.

I encourage you guys to spread the word on this one, don’t let it go unnoticed. It really is too good to be slept on. I chose this smooth track featuring Martin Salazar because it typifies the sounds from the project and will definitely get stuck in your head!
