Single You Out: BBAS – Get Ready (DJ Brace Remix) w/ The Agenda (Marco Polo Remix)

Oh what’s up with the Brown Bag Allstars? As usual…ALOT. These guys are always making moves either as unit or as individuals and this time they hit you as a collective. Brown Bag Season Vol. 1 is a collection of tracks both past and present. One of the things you will notice is that there a number of remixes on the project and they have released two of them for your listening pleasure. Of course they are free…

The Get Ready Remix by DJ Brace is my favorite track off of the project. The lyrics and production are nothing short of amazing. The other cut is a remix by Marco Polo of the track The Agenda. Anyone who is familiar with Marco Polo’s work knows to expect brilliance.

Check these tracks and be sure to cop the album. You won’t regret it one iota.

Single You Out: Stonecutters (IDE x Alucard) – Fall Of Persia

Stonecutters - Fall of Persia Cover Art

IDE and Alucard team up to form the group, Stonecutters.  They have an album on the way and Fall Of Persia is their first offering from that project.  The production sounds like some music that is used to haunt a chapel.  It has an eerie yet mystic vibe to it.  I am definitely feeling it, and if you are feeling it as well, why don’t you cop it for a $1 and contribute to the making of the album.  Creative Juices Music put out that quality hip hop so show some love!

Single You Out: P.L.O. – The Heat (American Language Remix) ft. Has-Lo, Zilla Rocca, and Curly Castro

The Heat (American Language Remix) Cover Art

I am still getting caught up and a lot of dope music that was in my inbox when I was without a computer and fixing my music library.  This maybe the illest track that I missed out on.  This is several weeks old and probably made it’s rounds on the blogs already, but that’s not the point.  It really deserves some shine.  This is a remix to an overseas project and is being used to showcase some of the talent that the US has.  It serves as an ode to the Smoothe Da Hustler and Trigga Da Gambler 1990s classic, Broken Language.

I for one think they did a great job.  The beat is ill and the wordplay and chemistry between the three emcees is second to none.  Zilla Rocca is one of my personal favorites, but Has-Lo and Curly Castro are really equal to the task.  They each drop dope lines over and over again.  Too many in fact to mention, but a big shout out for the “Billy Baldwin” line.  That was funny.  Check it out below and look for these artists’ material.  They have plenty of material out there.

Single You Out: Swave Sevah – Self Defense / Stab Wounds / This Nigga Here

I hope this not your first time checking for Swave Sevah.    The artist dropped these cuts over twitter yesterday and I thought I would share it with the world.  All three tracks are from his forthcoming release, Son Of A One Arm Man, releasing on Creative Juices Music.  The choice track is , This Nigga Here.  Swave bodies this beat.  What a dope beat.  Download each of the tracks separately below.

Single You Out: Sketch – Virginia Tec-9

I got this off of K-Beta’s Twitter but you don’t care where it came from, I know.  You care that it is dope, and it definitely is.  I am really ignorant when it comes to this artist, but Sketch’s bars sound  really dope over this bangin’ J-Scrilla beat, and it meets all the criteria for being posted on this blog.  This is something to love.  Be on the lookout for more Sketch in the near future. (I am telling you that this beat is killer, agree?)
