This Local Mu collective is the real deal. The collective has been dropping dope project after dope project so it’s time to start considering them one of the elite teams in hip hop. The 17th not only showcases his verbals on this track but also his skills behind the boards. His EP drops on August 28th.
Single You Out: Vorheez – Freaks and Weirdos (ft. Tone x DJ Rob Swift x Roosta)
Are you different? Do you not quite fit in? Do you have some quirks? Don’t we all? Hence the title, Freaks And Weirdos.
Vorheez is back at it again with the second single off of his yet to be released debut album, Say Anything. I love how DJ Rob Swift chops up that Jeru The Damaja sample in the end. Pure hip hop.
Single You Out: Cashus Flow – Light It Up (ft. Mike Zoot x El Da Sensei)

My man Praverb hooked us up when he sent over this joint. First off I enjoy any production from DJ Spinna. He doesn’t seem to produce much hip hop anymore but does not disappoint when he does. For me this track is a blending of old and new. Mike Zoot, El Da Sensei, and DJ Spinna have been around for a while and I am new to the styles of Cashus Flow. But the latter actually drops the best verse in my mind. I am looking forward to hearing more from this artist. His new album, Lamplighter’s Delight drops this month.
Single You Out: Rome Clientel – Troubled Child (Prod. by ATG)
Rome Clientel dropping another dope joint that will not be appearing on his yet to be released, The Empire: The Battlegrounds EP. Rome’s been dropping quite a bit of heat this year so be on the lookout for his music. (I will go on record to say that the kiddo on this artwork is maaaad creepy)

Single You Out: M.A. Cee Kings – This Is Hip Hop
This site was created because of artists like M.A. Cee Kings. I had never heard of him previous to his initial contact with me last week, but his music speaks for itself. I heard about five joints from him and every single one of the tracks was nice. He has a great flow and is one of those artists you just have to believe is going to make it and put some separation between himself and the rest.
Listen to this track (Marco Polo on the beat) and stay tuned for more from M.A. Cee Kings in August. I will be featuring a track from him every Friday of this month.
Single You Out: Uncle Sam – Live For Today (Produced by Pastime)
I posted a freestyle by Uncle Sam not all that long ago. The freestyle was good, but this single is excellent. We have original production from his partner, Pastime, who in my opinion put together a dope beat. I really like the (1,2,3 vocal sample). That was very well placed. Uncle Sam delivers top notch rhymes and he sounds more natural on this beat than the freestyle. He’s going to be dropping a mixtape that we will be checking for.
Single You Out: Junior Makhno – Down With Us (ft. IDE x Alucard)
Evidentially Creative Juices will be the label Junior Makhno will utilize to drop his next mixtape and first studio album. I am familiar with some Makhno tracks and know he fits the mold of what CJM is known for. Which is putting out no frills boom bap. Here’s the first single from the project. The descending vocal sample over those drums is the crem de la creme.

Single You Out: The Audible Doctor – F.U.B.U. (ft. Von Pea) (prod. marink)
I quickly played this song a couple of days ago. I liked it but I didn’t really sit and listen to the lyricism on this joint. The Audible Doctor is more known for his production perhaps but he has a really nice flow and what he speaks on during this track is relavent and prevalent. If everyone asks for a free album, T-Shirt, or ticket for a show, who will be left to support?
I can see this track becoming an anthem of sorts…
The project, Think That… drops on September 25th.
