Single You Out: Soul Khan – Not Like That (ft. Akie Bermiss)

Soul Khan keeping it consistent by releasing this bonus track from the upcoming Psalm EP coming out December 11th on http://soulkhan.com. The track was originally slated to be on Wellstone but didn’t make it on that EP. This new project is going to be produced entirely by Abnormal.   So be on the lookout for that.   Meanwhile, this track continues to display the chemistry between Soul Khan and Akie Bermiss who consistently put out great songs.

Single You Out: Strange Tongue (cRITICAL & Mygrane McNastee) – Boogieman Anthem (ft. Midaz The Beast)

This track has been out for 14 days?  Damn.  Where was I at?  I just recently got the Creative Juices Music Newsletter and this track was front and center.  Strange Tongue is comprised of cRITICAL and Mygrane McNastee and this is the first single from their upcoming album, Mutant Dialect.   Boogieman Anthem is for all those who fear what goes bump in the night.   Super-Producer, Junior Makhno uses low octave piano chords and a haunting organ providing the canvas for the emcees to make the skin crawl.  Peep…

Single You Out: Latyrx – Gorgeous Spirits (Aye, Let’s Go!)

Undoubtedly this isn’t the standard fare your accustomed to hearing on HHD, but every once in a while I need to throw you a curve ball and try to expand your horizons.  Fifteen years ago Lyrics Born and Lateef The Truthspeaker joined forces to form Latyrx and create one of the most influential albums to me individually.  They broke every mold that was conceivable known.  For God’s sake they were rhyming on top of each other!  Now, a decade and a half later, they get back together again to create Disconnection.

The vibe is not just up beat but extremely high energy.  They spit bars in rapid succession and God forbid you may even consider dancing.  Give this one a shot and listen to EP, you just might like it…different might mean exceptional

Single You Out: Saheed – I Go On (prod. by Numonics)

As time has passed since Hip Hop Dependency’s inception is who is consistent with their product and who is not.  Numonics is consistent.  He always puts together a memorable product and works with good people and this time is no different.  He and Saheed have a new project dropping entitled, Not For Nothing dropping and this is the first song we are entitled to hear.  Numonics brings in the horns and some soulful sampling while Saheed lets loose some angst in the freshest way possible.
