Alpha Faktion and Shabaam Sahdeeq bringing you that ‘murk-you-in-you-sleep’ type rap. Vherbal laces the banger and our emcees embrace their opportunity whole heartedly. This track is destined for Alpha Faktion’s upcoming EP, Truth, Lies & Audiotape.
Single You Out: Son-Ray – Casualties Of War Ft. Livin Proof & Broadway Barrett
A new joint from Son-Ray featuring label mates Livin Proof and Broadway Barrett. It’s dope all the way around. I love what Loyalty Digital has been doing to change the game. They continue to be a force heading in to 2013.

Single You Out: DJ Tray – Stay Free (ft. Blacastan, Godilla & Born Unique)
The homie Godilla put me on to some good tunes. This track is from DJ Tray’s yet to be released EP, entitled Building With The Godz. The track is mellow yet with a bit of grime intertwined. I mean it has to be grimy with the likes of Born Unique and Blacastan on the cut. Check it…
Friday Feature: Peet Caliber – 38Special Cypha (ft. Big Lou x Bori Puro x PH)
It’s the last Friday of the month (and year for that matter) and therefor it’s also the last Friday Feature for Peet Caliber . But we are going to end this one with a bang! Caliber brings in some heavy hitters in the form of Big Lou, Bori Puro, and PH (Pumpkinhead). It’s a banger done in true East Coast fashion! Make sure you check out all of Peet Caliber’s work. The man has a vast amount of talent and with the right breaks his name will start ringing bells in every household. This particular song can be found on his most recent album…SteakNEggz3
Single You Out: Peter Leo – Single For Life
Can I be honest? Ok. Let me be. I turned a snippet of that last Peter Leo song, Today Is Not Your Day, into my ringtone. I couldn’t help it. That’s the jam. This one is a little more smooth and a little more playful but still dope and really shows Leo’s diversity. Enjoy…

Single You Out: Donnie Darko – Today (prod. by DJ Bless)
New music from the combination of Donnie Darko and DJ Bless is always a welcome thing. A really great combo and have been for years. This particular track combines soul and angst as Darko once again must contend with the doubters and those who think he’s not good enough. He does all of this over a track that DJ Bless makes cry…dope…
Single You Out: PackFM – Twelve (ft. Dominion x Hydra)
This my friends could have been the soundtrack for the end of the world. This doomsday production comes to us courtesy of Wildchild. Enjoy…

Single You Out: Silent Knight – Ballot Of The Wallet (prod. by Madwreck)
The man who dropped the Single Of The Year in 2011 is back at it in the latter part of this year, prepping his next project, Busy Is My Best Friend II. This song is the anti-thesis of C.R.E.A.M. in the observations of Silent Knight. Can he get us to drop that ‘cash first’ mentality? Well, I can tell you the song is fresh, contains dope lyricism, and a well intentioned message. Check it…
Single You Out: Swerve & SYG – I Have Love (prod. Heikki Hoo)
Swerve is that man right now in my opinion. The songs that Swerve and SYG are offering up right now are incredible. If you are a fan of hip hop you are going to love this music. These are relate able rhymes combined with an almost bluesy feel in the production. But here’s the caveat, they need our help in order to finish their vision for what the forthcoming album Cold Winter & War Whiskeys 2 should be. They want to put out a premium product and need some investment from their listeners (family) so they can see this project through. So they are charging $1.29 for the song. Of course this is an investment, so please feel free to contribute more. For $20.00 they will send you a signed physical copy of the album when it is released. What I would like to see from my readership is at least a $5.00 donation to the cause to help promote good music. Because without our assistance in some capacity…this good music is going away…

Single You Out: Sommy Lovell – Amelia
I like Sommy Lovell’s style. It’s unlike any other I can think of right now. It’s subtle in it’s message and voice but musically quite powerful. I definitely respect this artist’s perspective. There’s lots of great instrumentation going on here as well to go along with thought provoking lyricism.
