I am incredibly honored that Godilla blessed HHD with this new single (exclusive for the moment) featuring Tug McRaw. Quite simply, Hardcore Styles bangs! This beat along with the scratching is just plain infectious. The verbage is also quite proper. Altogether it’s the type of flavor that keeps the block hot and happy.
If you have not checked Godilla’s latest project, Altered Beast, make sure you do that at this point. That is a literal gift to hip hop heads because it’s free. Also, I feature the homie Godilla quite a bit but I don’t often get a chance to share Tug McRaw’s material with you. The man has an ill voice and demeanor and you will be hearing a lot more material in the near future. Tell me that second verse wasn’t fire….
Eff Yoo is back at it again! After dropping Legend Of The Gnome Sword last year, he’s right back in the lab. This song is type ill. The production credits go out to Level 13 and they laced Eff Yoo with a banger for sure.

I had been meaning to get back in touch with M.A. Cee-Kings about his Gryndhawse imprint and website. When I went to recheck it, this is the first track that was in my face and I think it’s dope. The beat is unique and offers the cut a nice twist while Skeen shows us that he’s not your run-of-the-mill emcee by hitting on real life topics that we can all relate to with flair.
Smooth really doesn’t hit the tip of the ice berg when describing this joint. First, this beat should bring a smile to anyone listening, young and old alike. It’s mellow, jazzy, and just plain fun. It’s ok to have a good time making and listening to music. Something that I think both bloggers and artist alike can meditate on for a moment. Secondly, you’ve got The Audible Doctor, Oddisee, and Hassan Mackey kicking rhymes collectively. How can we not win?

Darkness serves as a bonus song to Godilla’s latest release, Altered Beast. The track once again features one of the most coveted emcees in the game, Spit Gemz. The track is dark, yet hype and contains many an ill bar. Be sure to cop the album as it is free and houses a grip of tracks with the same tenacity as this one.
I am bored with the music being concocted over the course of the last couple of weeks at least in terms of the singles dropping. It’s just the same mundane material. But leave it to Keno Beats to wake me up out of the funk with Jewels Remix which will be featured on his collaborative album with Don Streat, Bare My Soul. I’ve always liked Don Streat. I just wish I could get a full length project from him. Looks like I might get my wish…
I first featured Uncle Sam about a year ago. I thought he showed enormous upside and had the great foundation for a career in music. I felt he just needed a bit more polish. He sent me his mixtape soon after and I thought that the OG tracks that were on there were innovative and dope, but I kinda left him hanging without giving him my feedback. The Digital Martyrs enlist Hall Of Fame lyricist, Ras Kass to discuss politics, society, and the hypocrisy in both. It’s a tightly woven track all together but it’s hard for anyone to outshine a Ras Kass guest verse. The Ballad Of The Bullet is the Martyr’s forthcoming full length…be on the lookout.
