Rite Hook’s album, From The Wrong, drops on Monday. This is the last single to drop before the arrival of the album, and it’s a doozy. Lu Balz’ production it really effective. It’s not so big that it ‘covers’ the emcees but still knocks. Rite Hook, Vinnie Paz, and Slaine all have had to struggle for what they have and no…that ain’t easy. Lace your boots up and cop the album when it drops in a couple of days.
Single You Out: Spit Gemz – El Estudiante
Spit Gemz is releasing his new project, End The TV in just a couple of days, and I for one simply can’t wait. Ice Rocks laces some beautiful music for Spit Gemz to flow over for the single, El Estudiante. The track plays like a new school version of the Black Sheep classic, The Choice Is Yours. The track and project will come courtesy of 2Dopeboyz and Nahright respectively. Check it!

Single You Out: Skeezo – How You Spit? (ft. Napoleon Da Legend)
If you’re not down with homie Skeezo, you can simply exit stage left. This guy continuously drops real bars. This time he links up with Napoleon Da Legend. The two exchange sixteens over a dope beat by Ghettoblaster. The EP that this is coming off of is called Stuck In Da 90s. With this track you can see and hear why the project earned it’s title. Skeezo is bringing back to the forefront that boom-bap sound that he loves, and we love too. The project has a drop date of November 29th and you can preorder it now.
Single You Out: Illmaculate & OnlyOne – Desperado
Are the Sandpeople in the building? Hell yeah! We got some new music featuring some Illmaculate and OnlyOne teamwork from their forthcoming project, ONLY & ILL. The fire production comes from their long time affiliate Chase Moore who has been cranking out that fire recently. He plays the El Mariachi of the trio. Can’t wait to hear this album!
Single You Out: Typ iLL – Godly Bounce (prod. by DJ Concept)
Little Vic once commented how impressive Typ ill’s flow was, and on Godly Bounce you can surely see why he made that remark. DJ Concept handles the production for this cut. This was the last single before he released his EP, Basic Training which officially dropped TODAY. Check it out!
Single You Out: Rahim Samad – Have Discipline
Here’s another new name to my inbox, and I am glad to offer it up to you to listen. This joint from Rahim Samad is nice. Again, some guys are just blessed with a voice to be an emcee, and Samad qualifies. He rips this banger from producer KeyBoy (again, another dope producer from France? What’s in the water over there?) The rhymes are also of the highest quality. The whole vibe is reminiscent of something from 1994. Ain’t nothing wrong with that. As fat as I know this is not attached to a bigger project, but I am interested in hearing more from him.
Single You Out: Rite Hook – Lose Control (ft. Action Bronson) (C-Lance Remix)
I am not sure if I even remember the original. I will have to go back and check for it in my iTunes. But what I do know for sure, is that this track is a beautiful piece of work. It’s easily one of the top five tracks I have heard from Rite Hook. C-Lance really gave this track a ton of character with this joint. Definitely one of those songs that will stick in your head (like so many Rite Hook songs do when you listen to them). The new album, From The Wrong, drops in a couple of weeks. Be ready.
Single You Out: Gripz – Dead Presidents (prod. by Anno Domini)
Gripz is going after it right now. I can’t blame him. He’s been away from the game for a minute and he’s ready to make the push for his latest effort, Poetic Literature Vol. 3. Gripz is on my short list for the best emcee you have probably never heard. He consistently spits flames and now he’s got Anno Domini all over this new project. That’s the combination I have been pushing for. This track is a different vibe, but the same dope result. I’m going to keep telling you people until it sinks in.

Single You Out: Zilla – Southern Man
Zilla and producer Lamar Mitchell are playing with a loaded deck because if they keep making hits out of these loosies, I can only imagine what a full length or EP is going to sound like. They are making other artists look paltry with just a handful of dope joints. The duo murked their last single we placed here, Blind Man. Now they are back with a brand new single, Southern Man. The song in many ways is telling other artists to get their heads out of their asses and think about what they are bringing to the table, and what their legacy will be.

Single You Out: Rome Clientel – L.E.G.A.C.Y. (prod. by ATG)
Rome Clientel’s dropping one more single until the release of his third EP, The Empire 3: The Coronation. L.E.G.A.C.Y. is about being something more than just a flash-in-the-pan emcee. Rome is planning to build something a little more permanent for himself, his family, and his fans. This is a long term endeavor. The EP drops on Tuesday, so make some room in your hard drive. You won’t be disappointed.
