I like getting things like this in my email. You know…dope music type things. I have no information on the artist Redhead but the song really speaks volumes. I truly like everything about this song. The production is nice (Ratatat) and the verses are well thought out. A guest shot from Laelo Hood does nothing but help. If you like this cut, it is off his mixtape which just dropped (yet to check it out), The Schemata.
Are you looking for something mellow yet introspective this morning? A.L. Laureate has got you covered. It’s a deep song so make sure you pick a quiet corner to listen to this for the first time. DJ Frantic is on the beat. Laureate’s new album, Closed Eyed Insomnia is on it’s way.
First batch of dopeness released from Celph Titled and Buckwild’s follow up album, Nineteen Ninety MORE. Which drops next week. Yes, you heard correctly, NEXT WEEK. It’s vintage vibe with with that lyrical twist. Be sure to check out the album next week!
Some tight visuals from Devine Carama’s latest musical offering, Blood Of A Slave. If you haven’t checked this album, you are missing out. It is special…
I think I said it before…I am HUGE Block McCloud fan and if these two songs are any indication as to how his new album, Four Walls, sounds, we are in for a treat. I am loving the production from DJ Waxwork.
I wish I had more material from Savant. The guy has a killer flow. He has been dropping some singles (I think he is done with that though) for his Crash Series which you can cop on his Bandcamp page. I hope to hear more from him as I think his talent is immense. As I understand it, this is his first video, so enjoy…
Here’s the second dose of Jon Connor I promised. This is a good Valentine’s Day song. It’s for those of you in (or recently out of) a relationship where things never get better and each day seems like the last. Nothing changes, thusly leading into the Vicious Cycle.
I am a lot late on putting some Jon Connor music on this site, so today I am going to hit you with the double dose. First this video for Reppin 4 Flint. The flow on this track is breathtaking. I kept waiting for him to slow down and he just never did.
A couple of people of people actually shot this video over to me and I have to say that it’s kind of hot. I am not sure what project this is going to make it on, but if you like it you can cop it on Itunes.
I am pretty sure I own all of Hasan Salaam’s discography. I have been following his career for a while now and he remains an artist who not only is lyrically gifted but can also convey meaning and power in his rhymes. His new album, Music Is My Weapon, is slated to drop on 12/06/2011. All the proceeds from this album’s sales will be donated to the It Takes A Village Foundation. You can’t get anymore high-minded than that. Props!
