This is the first single off of The Plexiglass Fountain’s forthcoming album, Concrete Mythology (The Year Of The Dragon). Musically this track is exceptional. If you listen carefully you can hear so many different components of Tokyo Cigar’s production. It’s really dope to hear someone craft a hip hop beat like this. Lyrically, it’s coming from the heart. They’re not dropping crazy punchlines…they’re dropping sincerity.
Single You Out: Heaven & Hell (ft. Styles P)
First off, I love the artwork for this joint! Secondly, DJ Nastee came super correct with this beat. The sample and horns are amazing. This something I could play again and again (and probably will). Craig G and Styles P make quick work of the beat with fiery lyrics and delivery. Check in particular Craig G’s last verse. Recognize that this Ramblings Of An Angry Old Man album will be something special.
Single You Out: UllNevaNo – Week 3 #ijustwannarhyme
I know what you are thinking: Week 3? What happened to weeks one and two? My email ate them, that’s what happened, but UllNevaNo kindly reshot this over to me and I thoroughly enjoyed it. He’s really able to showcase his skills over this instrumental and I think you will agree that it gets top billing. Maybe if I can find the first two weeks I will add them to the post…

Single You Out: Genghis Khan – Violence (ft. Thirstin Howl III, Block McCloud, Gutta,Chris Carbene & DJ Waxwork)
I am cheating with this one. This song was actually released months ago but was just passed on to me so I am treating it as new. Genghis Khan has a new album dropping in a few weeks entitled , The Broken Love. This song is exhibit one as to why I think you should be checking for this album. The bass line, drums, and keys provide the knocking production for all these dope emcees. Don’t sleep…
Single You Out: Ancient Alienz – Angels Of Death (ft. Donnie Darko x Sutter Kain)
DJ Bless (Sutter Kain) has been talking about this project for a while and now we get our first sampling of what it’s going to be about. And if we get a whole album of this type of music, then consider me all in. This track starts out soulful and then the darkness sets in. The piano and the vocal sample that Sutter Kain provides is just the right mood for these bars. And speaking of bars, Ancient Alienz can spit some! Be on the lookout for their new project in the coming months.

Kid Daytona – Gone (Video)
I am digging this track. It’s really great to hear some new Daytona. His new mixtape, Summer Games dropped today as well and while I have not heard it yet, I insist that you check it out.
Single You Out: Main Course – Bully
Here’s an artist that shot me over his album, A Beautiful Blend, more than just a few days ago. I listened through it and was pretty impressed with the quality of music. The first thing that you will notice is his gruff voice and hard delivery. He definitely has the God-given intangibles to emcee and set himself apart from the pack.
At any rate, I wanted to share with you all a track from the album. Bully is the track I chose because of it’s uptempo funky vibe. Main Course devours this beat…
Single You Out: Tribeca – True Lies (Remix) (ft. Camp Lo x M-Dot)
I posted the OG Version of this track months ago and now the good folks wanted to remind you of how dope this track is again, this time be shooting us the remix of the track that is featured on M-Dot’s latest mixtape, Layer Cake. It’s equally as potent as the first with a slightly more energetic vibe. Peep…

Zilla Rocca – Full Spectrum 2 (ft. Has-Lo & Open Mike Eagle) (Video)
I was just commenting last week on innovative Zilla Rocca and Has-Lo are on the mic device. They aren’t typical or standard and they continue to push the art forward. You add Open Mic Eagle to this track and it just becomes downright revolutionary. This my friends is the intricacies of concept and the human language. Enjoy…

SGT OVER – THE PRELUDE PART 1 feat. JUST PUTT (Video)
The flow is undeniable. I’ve listened to a few cuts with SGT OVER on them and he really is consistent with his product. The beat on the second half of the cut is bananas. He and his crew, Dead Poets Society, definitely comes recommended. He has a project, Precious Jewels, coming soon.
