If you didn’t know this was dropping today, you probably have been living under a rock or maybe you are new to this hip hop thing. At any rate, I am experimenting with a new way of promoting some dope hip hop releases when they drop (Tuesdays). All these singles drop previously and maybe you see them, maybe you don’t, but I am going to compile them for you so you can check out the singles that dropped and potentially (hopefully) purchase the album below. I was trying to think of a different, yet relevant way, to promote the Masterminds new album, Giant Antlers, to make it more accessible to perspective listeners and fans. The album dropped today and I decided to montage their videos in one post and embed the link to their bandcamp page. This way you can see and listen to their creativity without skipping all over the web to do so.
I just finished listening to it for the second time and I can pretty much guarantee you haven’t and won’t hear anything like it, anytime soon!

Newly recruited Local-Mu12 artist, Livin Proof dropped this a little over a week ago and I just got a chance to listen to it. I can easily hear why the crew recruited him and invited him into the fold. Major talent. Fantom Of The Beat is the producer and composes a bouncy, yet banging production. Livin Proof drops bars as he is living the life to the fullest. He has a mixtape slated to release sometime in the near future entitled, Die For A Deal.
I wish I had some time to talk about this release, but time is not on my side and I wanted to get this project out so you can all enjoy it. If you like hard rhymes and beats served NYC style, this is something that you are going to want to check out. A couple of the songs I had heard before but many of them were new to me. A lot of great guest shots available on this one as well.

More music that bangs from the combination of JMega and Junior Makhno. This song should be featured on their new album, Blood & Thunder which, as of yet, does not have a release date. On this track, Makhno throws together a string symphony for JMega to spit over, even lacing the intro with a little Steve Buscemi from the movie, Desperado. JMega has a tight delivery and strikes me as clever with the words…

Alias and Fakts One bring you another video from their album, Second Chances. Fakts One gives you the soulful and melodious backdrop while Alias runs down the psychological disadvantages of not having a father around coming up.
New single from Apollo Brown and Guilty Simpson’s forthcoming album, Dice Game. This joint of course contains Simpson’s gruff delivery and Brown’s bluesy/soulful accompaniment. The album drops on November 13th.
