The Red Giants new album, Supercharged, just dropped a week ago, and What Do I Do? is the latest single from the project. I missed posting it last week before the album came out and was reminded how good it was when I was listening to the album today. After one listen of the album, I have to say it’s one of the most musically dynamic projects this year. It has great pace and diversity along with that thing called talent to back it.
Single You Out: Little Vic – Free Fall
Man, Little Vic is one of my favorite artists. I can’t wait for his elusive new album to drop. I say elusive because Each Dawn I Die was from 2006 so it’s really long overdue. And say what you will, but his previous album was a personal classic. But enough reminiscing…
The song Free Fall is off of that new project, so I now know for sure that it will be dropping. The cut is self produced and has almost an ethereal feel about it. It’s both melodic and casual. But it’s Vic’s view on life and his incorporation of his own self in his music that really makes this song choice. So enjoy this…then hope and pray with me that his album drops sooner rather than later.
Single You Out: Peter Leo – Today Is Not Your Day
First off, this is a great name for a song. Peter Leo prepares you for the fact that “today is not your day” over some superlative production from Sickness. I had never heard of Leo until DJ Mickey Knox snuck his music into my inbox. Really dope flow and a song we can keep in rotation for an indefinite period of time. Everything comes together on this joint, the boom bap drums, the cascading electronica, the chorus, and Leo’s fire verses. I will be on the look out for more music…

Brown Bag AllStars: Rhett Committed Murder (Video)
The Brown Bag AllStars conglomerate is back at it again, delivering you the fresh visuals that you need and deserve. This video made me want to go to purchase a bike and hang out with my friends from middle school…but enough of that…
Rhett Committed Murder can be found on the crew’s latest EP, the Brown Label Part 2.
Single You Out: Minlus & McCracken – Wait A Minute (prod. by and cuts by illMEASURED)
I put illMEASURED among the most talented producers in the game. His talent as a beatsmith really is unparalleled. He certainly is the most slept on. He sent me this joint that he produced for Minlus & McCracken (yeah, I didn’t know those names either) and it’s just more ear candy for the day. The emcees hold the fort down with good exchanges and a dope chorus. I am not sure where this track will wind up so get it while the getting is good!
Single You Out: Peet Caliber – Amoxicillin
Here’s an artist who knows the sound we like here at HHD! The beat by LUVJONEZ certainly knocks and got my attention but Peet Caliber proves to be an emcee who can bring you the raw-raw in both English and Spanish. He’s music is steepened in the same vain as Big Pun and Biggie. Even though Amoxicillin is three months old…I am obligated to make you aware.
If you like some raw hip hop, you are going to like this joint. I am hopeful I will be doing a feature with him here on HHD very soon.
Single You Out: Adam Reverie – Dreaming With My Niggas Pt. 2 (Ft. @hunnitsworld313)
I like the melodious vibe that this song is putting out. Definitely a track that you can get behind the wheel of you car and zone out to (safely). Adam Reverie’s new project, Michigan Autumns: Ballad Of Adam Reverie drops on the 14th of this month so if you feel this track, please incline yourself to check the project.
Single You Out: Stryfe – Organ Donor (Ft. Miz Korona & Skorpion)
Stryfe back at it again with a new single off of his forthcoming album, The Last Resort. Everything about this song smacks of gratuitous violence. The beat and the bars from Stryfe and Miz Korona are bound to crack skulls. Peep game…

Shabaam Sahdeeq – Degrees Of Separation (2012)
Shabaam Sahdeeq is undoubtedly a busy man and to show how much work he has been putting in lately, he’s assembled Degrees Of Separation for established fans and new listeners a like to get acquainted with what he’s been up to lately. Degrees Of Separation includes a lot of the dope singles we have featured on HHD this year, a lot of guest shots that he’s been on, and some newer tracks I hadn’t heard yet.
As for my favorites? I am glad you asked. It’s got the Harry Fraud produced Futuristic which is one of my favorites not only of Sahdeeq but by any artist this year. I am also partial to the Lewis Parker produced Walking On A Razor. I am sure that you will appreciate the talent the man brings to the table after listening to the project and find a few favorites of your own.
