Lee Bannon laces Reks with a dark, haunting, and plodding beat. Reks uses the opportunity to air out his grievances with those snakes in the grass. Those who are prone to associate with you only to stab you in the back.

I finally got a chance to listen to 7evenThirty’s album, Heaven’s Computer. Every track I had heard previous sounded really good and I was not disappointed with the rest of the album. For the remix treatment, Lee Bannon redresses the track. Make sure you check the album if you like what you hear!

Finally someone new brings me some music fit for the blog. Something that fits our mantra of keeping it raw. Now the track name, Battle Cry, is nothing new but the execution is really well done. Caspa Narkz delivers on his end with some rough yet tight lines and the chorus ties the track together nicely.

I found this music by virtue of The Arcitype’s work with Ruste Juxx last year. The Arcitype is quickly becoming one of my favorite producers. He’s just unique in his musical blends. Single You Out: Reef Ali & DJ Grazzhoppa – Smut Therapy (ft. Ras Kass, M-Dot, and Cymarshall Law)
Now this made my morning! Ras Kass, M-Dot, and Cymarshall Law on the same track! That theory sounded incredibly dope in email and my expectations were realized to their fullest potential when I heard this joint. Each emcee kills it in their unique fashion while discussing the ladies’ “loose tendencies”. Reef Ali creates this nostalgic banger while DJ Grazzhoppa chops it up something excellent (like always).
The other great part about this is that I find out Reef Ali and Grazzhoppa are creating an entire project called, You Asked For It. That’s going to be dope!
