Side Effect has a new project, Flyest On Papyrus, that I will be reviewing in the coming days. But before I put that review to print, I missed this video for the track Cyber Bully and wanted to share it. No matter his locale, Side Effect always brings the A game.
Single You Out: Dj Brown 13 – War Goes On (ft. Maffew Ragazino & AG Da Coroner)
Here we go on some ‘Soldier Of Fortune’ type sh-t or do we? I was expecting some banging boom bap but this cut has some real bluesy flavor and very musical. I am really feeling this. It is very different in it’s tone. Of course you add heavyweights such as Maffew Ragazino and AG Da Coroner and it’s going to be hard to pass this one up. This cut is off of Dj Brown 13’s forthcoming EP, F.A.T.
Single You Out: The Regiment – The Solution (ft. Toki Wright)
New music from The Regiment featuring Toki Wright on the mic and Nick Speed for the high energy production. Dope joint. Apparently the duo have an album dropping soon with production done entirely by Speed. I have enjoyed their music thus far and definitely interested in hearing their new project.

Original Text – Crumbs (Video)
Ok. I am not going to pretend that I understand every facet of the plot that is going on in this video but I will telly ou what I do know beyond a shadow of a doubt…Original Text is dope and makes great music. I just got hip to them in 2012 and hope to hear more from them in 2013. You can DL there EP, The Out Number for free HERE.
Single You Out: K-Hill – Power Of The Tongue II
I am really waiting on K-Hill’s new EP, Achilles’ Hill, and the forthcoming album by the same title in the summer. This track is a combination of soulful instrumentation and vocal samples with K-Hill’s authoritative boom-bap delivery. K-Hill just has that voice that sticks with you. There is also a bonus remix to be downloaded by IMAKEMADBEATS. The EP drops on February 26th.
Single You Out: Audimatic – Monster
This song was destined for Halloween rather than Valentine’s Day. The Audible Doctor and maticulous were up to something rather sinister when they crafted this cut. Seriously, I am not used to The Audible Doctor dropping some darkness but this was type ill…

Felix Nobody x Notepad – Channeling (Video)
I have to tell you when I first heard and saw this, it brought a smile to my face. I thought this was a very dope concept and the two emcees, Felix Nobody and Notepad, really play well off of each other. It reminded me of some Digable Planets material. The video was also very artistically done. All together this track hits the mark to be one of the five posted tracks today.
If you like this, you may want to check out their mixtape, PAINT.
Single You Out: Curly Castro – Coal (ft. Has-Lo)
I was privileged enough to get an advance copy of the album, FIDEL. And let me tell you…whooo-whew! This is going to be a true gem of 2013. There’s some classic material involved. Coal is also one of my favorite tracks from the album. Georgia Anne Muldrow’s beat is subtle yet somehow hooks you. Curly Castro and Has-Lo alternate verses with an interesting concept at hand. I think it’s something you need to listen to…
Single You Out: Chaundon – Prison (ft. Rome Clientel)
I love the sound of this song. I like how Chaundon in particular associates the indie hip hop scene with the confines of prison. He really goes at the angle that if an indie rappers tries to make moves it’s easy to get labeled, pigeon holed, and left for proverbial dead. Really tight song and some food for thought to boot…
