Single You Out: Coarse Company – Bohemians

coarse-company-same-name-cover

New track from the collective known as Coarse Company, which is comprised of Koncept and Tenacity.   And for these Bohemians the sky is the limit when rocking over this uncredited (as far as I can tell) production.   The two emcees really blend their unique styles for the sake of making some good hip hop.  That’s selfless.

Their project, Same Page, drops for free on December 17th (a mere day away).

Lord Lhus & PSL – Ground You Walk Upon (Video)

I am really enjoying this track from Lord Lhus & PSL.  The production from Dirty Dike is phenomenal.    There is something enchanting about the female vocals in the chorus that compliments the tough bars from the emcees.   The video also has a lot of artistic value with things as simple as lighting and transitions.

This cut is the first single from the forthcoming Lhus/East Garden album, International RhymeZ Connect.

DJ Low Cut – Dusty Robbery (2013)

DJ Low Cut was the first producer we ever highlighted here on HHD and it’s only right that we continue to show our support.  This project is interesting because it focuses on the samples and music that Low Cut procured for a particular song.  Each track gets a brief reference point, so that the listener can hear the music he drew inspiration from.

This is the word from his PR Team:

As a retrospective of what DJ Low Cut released this past few years, Dusty Robbery brings the light on the dusty vinyls he dig to produce every track. What you’re about to hear is a mix of original music DJ Low Cut used and songs he did with those.

Rahim Samad – Alkahest (Video)

Rahim Samad is one of my favorite new names for 2013.   I just got put onto him a couple of months ago and he hasn’t disappointed since.  This video, and more so the song, are just a reflection of the overall talent that I hope to hear with the coming of his new album,  Travel Properly: Motion Picture Soundtrack.  Be sure to check out the other two tracks I featured HERE.

Single You Out: Tribeca – Forever Rain (ft. Mayhem (EMS) & Lisa Denise) (prod By 2’s & BlackBrown)

Mayhem from the EMS camp broke me off with this new track  by Tribeca that he is featured on.    Forever Rain is something that us regular folk can really find solace in.  Sometimes we feel like circumstances and conditions are constantly against us, but we still persevere.  The chorus by Lisa Denise is also a highlight here.  Her voice relates to the hope that the emcees are referring to.

Single You Out: Benjamin Miles & Eddie Logix – The Beat Goes On

a2939574529_10

It’s a good day when I get some new tunes from my man, Benjamin Miles.   It’s been a minute since we have heard from Miles but he offers us some break thru bars with his new cut, The Beat Goes On, offered in conjunction with producer, Eddie Logix.

Hopefully this song is part of a bigger project as the duo really works well together.  The beat by Logix makes you drift away while the words from Miles gives you something to ponder on your journey.
