Duncecap – Social Drinker (ft. Lt Headtrip) (prod. by Kon Hathaway) (Video)

Sorry my posting has lapsed.  It probably won’t pick back up until later this month when I am fully settled in at the new crib, but I did want to share this new video from Duncecap off of his new EP, Generally Sad Songs.  This song is a slap in the face or a pat on the back depending on your perspective to all the “social” drinkers out there.  Regardless of the perspective is the fact that this is good music.  I like the mingling of depravity and playfulness of the track.  I hope to listen to the entire EP soon.

El Gant – Bases Loaded (ft. Infinity Gauntlet) (Video)

I just reviewed El Gant’s Beast Academy last week.  It’s an album that has some incredible bars, and this joint is no exception.  This time he brings in the Infinity Gauntlet camp for a little game of baseball.    Except the only thing these listeners are going to catch are some hot lines.  I am really hoping for an Infinity Gauntlet album soon because whenever these guys get on the mic, wonderful madness ensues.

Single You Out: Armageddon – Nightmares (Shawneci)

“1000 spiders, voodoo chants, choppers, and Salvador Dali on a Molly”….What do any of these seemingly randon things have to do with eachother. Nothing really, but Terror Squad Alumni Armageddon has married these oddities together to create something diabolical for the fans. Geddy releases his latest track, ‘Nightmares’.

The song threatens to take you into the deepest recesses of Geddy’s mind to explore his brooding perception of today’s Hip Hop that will leave you there with foreboding visages of blood stained pavements and things that lurk in the shadows. The eerie production from Shawneci serves as a guide through those dark passage ways we seldom want to wander while our emcee litters the track with sinister but truly exceptional wordplay.”

Single You Out: Es-K – Reminisce (ft. MC Dialect, Charmingly Ghetto, M-Dot, & S.Dub) (Chromadadata Remix)

A lot of dope smooth joints have released in the last week or so.   This one was forwarded by the EMS crew and after a long delay, I wanted to share it with you.  There’s a lot of introspective bars in this joint while the production instructs you to lean back and maybe reminisce about someone you once lost or a time gone past.  We all do that from time to time so make sure you take this track as an opportunity.

If you are really feeling this joint and want to check out more, Es-K just dropped his album, Serenity.

The 17th – Hold My Own (ft. Livin Proof, Cortez, and Gwalla Gang) (Video)

These are the kind of joints that make the universe just right.   The 17th is an elite emcee.   His wordplay is just extraordinary.   But things get a little grimier on deck when homies Livin Proof and Cortez jump on the track.    These barbarian bars are liable to leave a wake of destruction in their path.

Inside Jokes With Complete Strangers should be front in center on your radar when it drops later this summer.
