Single You Out: Ill Methods – Civil Warriors (ft. MastaofCeremoniez, Rockness, and Phrase)

Ill Methods comes with this a new soulful banger in the form of the new track, Civil Warriors.   The production consists of a soulful vocal sample, slick strings, and some thumping drums.   Rockness (Heltah Skeltah) performs the chorus while Ill Methods, MastaofCeremoniez, and Phrase flip the linguistics.

Enjoy this track as it comes off of their just released album, W-ILL.

Single You Out: Skeezo – No Seeds b/w Full Moon

A fan favorite, Skeezo, is back at crafting some newness by releasing, not one, but two singles.  No Seeds is a track that is completely smoothed out with some saxophone laced production by Ruen, while Full Moon has a little more bounce to it.  Both tracks feature some very focused lyricism from Skeezo, who seems even more poised then ever to take audio waves by storm.

Single You Out: Supastition – Flawless (prod. by Praise)

One of my all time favorite emcees is back with a single from his forthcoming album, Gold Standard.  If I could use one word to describe Supastition it would be ‘authentic’.  When you listen to his music you are getting the real deal…his thoughts…his music…his vision.  This track, Flawless, produced by Praise,  sounds like a celebration of lyrical integrity to me.  Also, a special set of props is deserved for that Great Kabuki line….(I know most of you won’t get that one…)

Single You Out: Mic Handz x Ali Starr – HD (prod by Cool FD)

Cool FD does his thing by blending soul and boom bap into sublime fusion while Mic Handz and Ali Starr bring their rhymes front in center in the ‘High Definition’ fashion.  The two emcees sound like they’ve been rocking mics together for the longest while in truth, this is there first cut.  I hope this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes this union of skill.  This is most definitely a live track.

Single You Out: Estee Nack & Purpose (of Tragic Allies) – T.I.M.E.

This is an incredibly dope song from Estee Nack and Purpose from the soon-to-be-released album, 14 Forms: The Book Of Estee Nack.  There is so much to love about this track.   The production with the piano keys creates a somber soundscape for incredibly introspective lyricism about time and how it relates to our lives. The word weaving and knowledge dropping is certainly a few steps above the rest.

The album drops on June 23rd.
