C-Rayz Walz is one of the dopest and most consistent artists in hip hop. He is about to release another album entitled, The Black Arts. Be Yourself is a single to this upcoming project and features Dear Derrick and production from Tom Delay (who is a very gifted producer). Sharp bars and crisp beats…what else would you come to expect!
Sons of Silverton – You Know Them As… (Video)
This song is dope in a big way! Sons Of Silverton are making a deep impact with this production and these dope rhymes. The two emcees, CITOAK and KyleDavid, have a great chemistry with each other and their voices, delivery, and content are on point. All of the aforementioned happens while the the snare drums from producer Prospek reverberate in your ear drums.
If you ain’t feeling this track…something is wrong with you. The Sons Of Silverton have an album out now, Or Forever Hold Your Peace, that is looking like a must cop after we have featured them twice on this site. It could be the sleeper project of the year.
Don’t sleep on new artists…
Single You Out: Cashus King – King Yamin (ft. Yamin Semali)
Here’s some real dopiness from Cashus King and Yamin Semali. I am not sure who produced it, but the production really moves and gets that head nodding while King and and Semali use their contrasting styles to offer insights on an assortment of different topics. The dynamic between the two artists is pure. They really play off of each other well. I REALLY hope to hear more from these artists.
Guerilla Alliance – Warpath Of The Archons (ft. Ill Bill) (Video)
This video from Guerrilla Alliance has been out for a while but I failed to post it and I am trying to rectify that now. The dark production is created by Mac The Rebel with cuts by Tone Spliff. Ill Bill joins the Alliance as they spit bars that reference Iluminati, the Occult, and the Biblical. It’s deep stuff for the enlightened mind.
If you like this cut, you can check out their album, The Dark Rift, out now!
Double Negative – The Medicine Doesn’t Work Here (Video)
This is an ill cut from Double Negative’s (Taboo x Coal Cash) album Krackatoa with cuts from DJ TMB. The production is dark and heavy and the rhymes have a violent tendency. Disengage. Unplug from the matrix. Check this album!
Side note: Taboo is one of my favorite writers/emcees right now. A true wordsmith.
Token – New Problems (Video)
Token drops some of the most intense and relevant music in the game. I mean he makes you feel EVERY BAR OF EVERY VERSE in this new joint, New Problems. The first verse tells the story of a girl he met in Idaho. The second about an industry connect that’s gone sour. And his last verse pertains to the strains on the relationships his career is putting on him.
Just really dope material over a production from Jon Glass and J57. One of the best cuts thus far in 2017.
Single You Out: Brown Bag Allstars – 11 Steps (ft. Tash)
The Brown Bag AllStars are back accompanied by The Alkholiks’ Tash for their new cut, 11 Steps. The production is orchestrated by Kev Brown. Everything really comes together for this cut as it comes complete with a slick beat, fresh rhymes, and an assortment of debauchery.
I hope there is more in store from the camp. My record collection needs a boost.

Single You Out: Blacastan x Stu Bangas – Lucifer’s Sickle
Blacastan and Stu Bangas are all but set to release their new album next week, The Uncanny Adventures Of Watson And Holmes. And this song definitely sets the tone for the release. Stu Bangas really has developed some sickness from behind the boards on this one. The bass line…guitar licks…with the drums is premier stuff. Blacastan delivers his bars like a hell hound. He’s got firey bars and owns this rhythm.
Can’t wait to see what’s on tap with this album.
Mr. Complex – Lesbo Flo (Video)
Mr. Complex has a new project that dropped yesterday, Forever New, and dude is a constant innovator intermingling storytelling, humor, and a unique flow. And Lesbo Flo is a highly entertaining three verse narrative of Complex and his lesbian neighbors.
Nobody is tackling music like Complex is…and that is a breath of fresh air!
Check the album!
Single You Out: Giallo Point – The Heat (ft. D Strong and Dro Pesci)
Here’s an appropriately titled loosie from producer Giallo Point featuring emcees D Strong and Dro Pesci called, The Heat. And that’s exactly what this trio bring you on this cut. It’s pure and unadulterated fire. Giallo continues his run of lacing banger after banger for dope emcees. Strong and Pesci are laying heads to rest on this track…you all had your chance!
