I swear when I posted this song as a single yesterday, I had no idea that had a video on tap. Saipher Soze and Finn release the visuals for arguably the best track on an amazing project, Kannibul Rising.
DZ The Unknown – Lucid (ft. EMS) (Video)
DZ The Unknown teams up the EMS team (M-Dot, Revalation, and Kore) for this video single, Lucid. The production from C-Lance may be one of my favorite beats from him recently. The lyricism is also very rich with each artists delivering their own measure of talent to the table.
This track is off of DZ’s project, Observe and Adapt which has yet to receive a release date.
Single You Out: Saipher Soze x Finn – Basquiat
I could not wait, nor could I resist in sharing something from Saipher Soze and Finn’s new project, Kanibul Rising. This album is destined for big things. I copped it as soon as I knew it dropped (thank’s bandcamp for always keeping me alert). This project is impressive from start to finish.
I can’t really pick a favorite track right now, but you can’t go wrong with Basquiat. Soze and Finn put something together that you are going to need to cop. I am probably going to have to leave this on all day.
Godz Chyld – Heavens Pt II (Look Around (Video)
Godz Chyld teams up with Jordan River Banks for another great cut. Godz Chyld has a unique and poetic way with words. And this whole joint, with Jordan River Banks’ guitar loops and ethereal feel, along with the intellectual and polished lyricism of Godz Chyld, really takes you places. I am definitely diggin’ this track. Heavenly vibe.
You can check out the new project, Woke, if you are feeling this like I am.
Single You Out: Ren Thomas – Hypocrite
I really enjoy the product that Ren Thomas consistently puts out. He’s got quite a few dope records to his credit, and this one is right up there with the rest of them. Father Focus Confucious (underrated as fuck) laces Thomas with some serious fire. I love this beat with the sample. And Thomas delivers verses consistent with the duality of person.
This shit goes!
Single You Out: Recognize Ali – Holy War (ft. Vinnie Paz)
Recognize Ali links up with Vinnie Paz to exchange sixteens over a banger from B-Sun. I really enjoy the guitar sample used by B-Sun on this track, and DJ TMB really adds some excellent scratching to the joint. And let’s face it, Ali has become one of the preeminent names in hip-hop, while Paz just shows he’s only getting better with his now legendary grind. Excellent hip-hop.
New project, Recognition, is coming…when…I know not.
Estee Nack x Crucial The Guillotine – Jorgeramos (Feat. Codenine & Daniel Son) (Video)
This track features some of the heaviest hitters in the game right now, so if you are not familiar, it’s time to get up. Estee Nack, Codenine, and Daniel Son do massive damage over some auditory slickness from producer, Crucial The Guillotine, for the track Jorgeramos.
This song is another banger in a long list of them from these gents, and it can be found off of the collaborative project from Nack and The Guillotine, Novela (La Novela De La 9).
Single You Out: John Jigg$ & Cuns – Non-Fiction (ft. Benny)
John Jigg$ and producer Cuns have a project dropping soon, appropriately called Teflon John. On the single Non-Fiction, you have Cuns lacing up an easy, jazzy type of joint with it Jigg$ and guest Benny firing on all lyrical-cylinders.
The project should be something to check for!
Young Lo x Tone Spliff – Love No More (Video)
Young Lo and Tone Spliff push out the video single for Love No More, off of their recent project, Tape Deck Music. If you can’t tell by the song title, this cut deals with the intricacies and disappointments of relationships. Of course only in the freshest of fashions!
Chris Orrick – Self-Portrait (Video)
Master of Introspection, Chris Orrick, drops the ultimate ‘look-at-yourself-in-the-mirror’ joint with his latest video single, Self-Portrait. As an artist, Orrick, gives you no choice but to take a sobering look at life.
You can find this joint, along with an assortment of other thought-provoking gems on his album, Portraits.
