Single You Out: C Keys x Kazi – W.Y.M (ft. Guilty Simpson x DJ Grazzhoppa)

This is the lead single for C Keys and Kazi’s forthcoming album, Keys 2 Kazi, which is due out later this year.  This is track has a high energy feel with the electric guitar riffs used as the backbone of the productions.  And DJ Grazzhoppa only builds off of that momentum, with perfect scratching perfection.  The contrasting styles from Guilty Simpson and C Keys plays well.  Dope music!

Da Buze Bruvaz – Steam (Video)

Few are bringing the rough and rugged like Da Buze Brovaz.  They are owning the gutta and grimy right now.   The production from Gosilla is just plain mean.   And that is used in the most flattering way.  This track is just nasty and destined for strong replay.

They say this cut is from the album, Niggativity.  I can’t find the album out now, but I am hoping it drops soon.  This is that fiya!

JK – We Outta Here (ft. Reks x Silly Grinn x DJ Deadeye)

Here’s a pretty dope track off of JK’s new album, Opinionated Facts, which I am highly inclined to check out after hearing this joint.   The beat and the scratching are really fire on this joint.  DJ Deadeye is definitely setting a tone here with this one.  Flows from JK and Silly Grinn (also on the production) are dope, and Reks is just on his A game with these bars.

If you are a fan of hip hop.  You are going to want to check this out!

Single You Out: The Aztext – Everyday Sun (ft. Xenia Dunford)

Aztext

Good news folks!   The Aztext are back again and making new music.  It’s been a minute since we have heard from the Vermont duo, but they haven’t missed a step with their latest single, Everyday Sun.  The guys always bring a fresh perspective to their music with good vibes and poignant lyricism.  This time they add a ton of soul to the mix with vocals from Xenia Buford, and some supreme horns from producer Rico James.

Kool G Rap & 38 Spesh – Dead Or Alive (ft. Cormega) – Dead Or Alive (Prod Midnite) (Video)

Son Of G Rap is one of my most anticipated albums this year, ever since I head the first single, Upstate 2 Queens.  I loved the way Kool G. Rap and 38 Spesh exchanged their bars over that beat.  That song is in steady rotation.

This song is extremely dope in its own right, adding Cormega for the chorus.   The emcees go in on the struggle and the survival tactics needed to make it in this day and age.  There are a multitude of dope bars and visuals painted on this track.  Speaking of the visuals:  I am really feeling the animation here.  Midnite on the production.

Album drops for everyone on July 20th, and you get the early release on the 6th if you cop the CD.

Kyo Itachi x Realio Sparkzwell – Nothin Can Save You (ft. Vast Aire) (Video)

This track borders on the maniacal and certainly stays on the side of being dope.  Kyo Itachi has established himself in the last several years as one of the finest producers in the industry, and here he links with Realio Sparkwell and Vast Aire to create something dangerous.  DJ Afar provides the cuts completing the whole affair.

This joint can be found off Itachi and Sparkzwell project, Akira.
