G-Stats (Bankai Fam) , Raf Almighty (Dirt Platoon), and producer Rawmatik are The Ruler Gods and they just dropped a project today which you can find digitally…everywhere. On this, the title track, they join forces with the legend Ras Kass. I love coming across something dope and unexpected, and this is exactly that. I am definitely going to have to cop the project.
Single You Out: Blak Flag x Sherm Larock – Cold
This is a little bit of repost from a 2017 drop I did. I just saw it up on bandcamp again and thought it was worth resharing. One of the illest duos to never to it ENOUGH! Blak Flag and Sherm Larock kill it every time. There are no weaknesses found in their music. It just hard-bodied hip hop
Slant Heddshotts x CLOAQxDAGGER- Glad Bagz (feat. Aztech from Hybrid Thoughts & DJ Slipwax) (Video)
Slant from Heddshotts has a new project out with production duo, CloaqxDagger, Cerberus. And these artists on their own are notorious for dropping bangers and now you have them joining forces for that hardcore boom bap.
Single You Out: Napoleon Da Legend – Building Politics (prod. by DJ Dister)
Napoleon Da Legend is another artist who puts out a consistent flow of dope music, and I really like the creativity that he puts into his latest single, Building Politics. Over a DJ Dister piano laced production, NDL navigates the trials and tribulations of living and making music in an apartment complex. I am sure lots of listeners can relate to this dopeness!
Single You Out: Terror Van Poo – No, No, No (prod. by Vinny Idol)
Please stop sleeping on these two! Terror Van Poo and Vinny Idol are cooking up some amazing music and people need to recognize the skill level that’s being put on display here. Idol laces what seems like a sample from Bollywood that is just sick, and Van Poo’s words slice through the competition. Really a dope song!
M-Dot – Days Are All The Same prod. by Hi-Tek (Video)
Days Are All The Same is my favorite M-Dot track…period. This track resonated with me when it dropped four years ago. It hit me again when M-Dot released an animated video for the joint. And this time you get a new video re-rendering of the same dope music. This is one of those joints where everything just comes together…the meaning…the lyrics…the flow…and the superlative production from Hi-Tek. I love this joint.
Jamal Gasol – Good Brother (Video)
A dope cut from Jamal Gasol’s project, The Ghost Of Fritz. It’s a smooth joint citing the times he was doubted, overlooked, or people attempted to hold him back. In spite, Gasol has been consistent in dropping dope music over the course of the years. Definitely a pillar in the independent hip hop scene.
Single You Out: G FAM BLAK – Kimchi (ft. Slant)
G FAM BLAK released his project, Foul Features last month and I think you should hear a track off of it. The joint is Kimchi, featuring Slant from Heddshotts. This is one of those tough as nails joints that just slaps hard. I really liked the whole project so consider copping the project!
Single You Out: The Quarter Inch Kings x Zagnif Nori – Rise To The Top
New single out for producers, The Quarter Inch Kings and emcee, Zagnif Nori. These guys have collaborated on more than just a few cuts and have really good chemistry between them. Check out their latest single, Rise To The Top, which incorporates a little bit of everything. It has some bravado and social commentary over some snapping drums
