You remember Snake Hollywood from his EP My Condolences, right? That joint put him on the map and I back him as an artist without hesitation. You have to respect someone who is capable of melding art and intellect at a high level and that’s what this man has done more than once. Check this new track that’s produced by The Pogue Brothers and prepare to pause and rewind….
Single You Out: Hus Kingpin x Rozewood – High Rises (Manu Remix)
I am violating a cardinal rule by throwing this cut up today. I only put five a day on max (usually) but this time I had to be flexible with the rule. This track is too good not to share.
Hus Kingpin and Rozewood are lacing this track some of that atypical illness found these days. I particular feel the flow of Rozewood with the fiery delivery. But the whole vibe of the song made me want to rise up!
This joint can be found on the forthcoming collaborative project from the two entitled, $100Taper.

Single You Out: Typ iLL x Peter Leo x Little Vic – The Light (prod. Velotz)
This music business is serious and these are some serious individuals on this track! This is some of that ‘gottdamn’ type music because you will be saying that a lot during the four minutes this track runs. Typ iLL, Peter Leo, and Little Vic showcase over this Velotz beat. This track has head nodder written all over it. (Oh and Vic’s verse if proof in point that he is one of the nicest in the game. Go ahead and tell me different!) Be warned…
Friday Feature: Jus Daze – Andy Dufresne
Jus Daze makes it easy to feature him on Fridays because he is always putting out good, quality hip hop. This time he goes all Shawshank Redemption over the rhythm. This joint is dark, yet hypnotic. The beat is perfect. It captivates you while Daze drives home point after point. I also like the fact that he changes his cadence and speaks in hush tones in parts. It gives you the feel that he’s just holding a discussion with you. Dopest track I have heard this first couple of weeks in 2013…
This track is the lead single for his forthcoming album, Walk Twice As Hard.
Wrecking Crew – Scallops (Official Video)
Curly Castro always struck me as the clairvoyant one of the team. Haha. In all seriousness, it’s a captivating video from Rocca, Castro, and Has-Lo to go along with a dope song from an even doper conceptual project, Wu-Tang Pulp.
Ruste Juxx & The Arcitype – Barbarian Bars (ft. Punchline) (Video)
This yet another one of the dope track from Artist Of The Year, Ruste Juxx and his producer The Arcitype. This is off of their album, V.I.C.
Skeezo – Under Pressure (Video)
Skeezo is back with a new video for his track Under Pressure. This track has that purists hip hop vibe that I know you can rock out to.
Single You Out: Silent Knight – Stand Up! (prod. by !llmind)
This is the solo version of a track that originally featured multiple artists on DJ K.O.’s EMPBeTheTeam. This version is headed for Silent Knight’s Busy Is My Best Friend II. This track has all the soul in the world and add Silent Knight’s conviction, you can count this one as a winner.
CuzOH! Black – A Graphic Ending (Video)
Is CuzOH! Black jaded, cynical, or just a realist? Well, regardless, he is a very dope and highly overlooked emcee in my mind. This song is tough, as is the rest of his FREE EP. You should DL Everybody’s Favorite Cousin now!
