Locksmith – Bear With Me (prod. by Mike TopNoch) (Video)
Nobody does real-life-shit better than Locksmith. He is able to touch on topics that people can relate to and gets personal like no other. His music is probably the best demonstration of how powerful and moving hip hop can be.

I love it. Absolutely love it. OnlyOne drops nothing but heat and now he’s once again teamed up with producer Furtado Yuen for the second installment of their collaborative EPs. The first one is still on repeat in the rotation. Professional is my personal favorite cut off of that project but I digress (pick that up if you have not already)
This is a complete song from the bars to the production to the chorus. All hip hop heads will be liable to play this joint…
Single You Out: Lifetime – Boom Bap (ft. Sha Stimuli) (Prod Thorotracks)
Another artist I wasn’t familiar with until today. L.I.F.E.T.I.M.E. drops a cut in dedication of those “lyrical raps” alongside the vet, Sha Stimuli. Thorotracks provides the smooth production with cracking drums. This track is a prelude to his Endemic produced album, From The Hart dropping with no said date.
Single You Out: Cliff Po – True Religion (ft. SativaHigh )(Prod By. Inspecta-Morze)
I always enjoy discovering the one artist out of the hundreds of submissions I receive that really fits the vibe of Hip Hop Dependency. I like the dusty jazz vibe of the track coupled with Cliff Po’s rough mic prowess. Reminds me a little of Group Home from the Gangstarr Foundation. I like it.

Mic Beatz of Uzual Suspectz ft. Blaq Poet – Freedom Of Speech (Video)
Mic Beatz drops bars accompanied with Blaq Poet. I saw Blaq Poet was on the track and thought to myself: “If Blaq Poet took part in the cut then this guy, Mic Beatz must be decent.” He’s better than decent. He’s got a nice flow and dope delivery. This track is off of the Murder He Wrote album which I am guessing has not dropped as I can not find it on the internet. If any one knows differently, hit me up.
Single You Out: CuzOH! Black – Emergency Funk Broadcast Feat. Wordsmith (Produced by Strada)
CuzOH! Black keeps delivering dope joints for me to post on the blog. This time he teams up with DMV stalwart, Wordsmith for a fun and funky track. I always like to hear cool tracks to vibe to and these guys did it correctly. Strada is a pretty slept on producer. Although I have only heard him with DMV cats I think he has a sound that a lot of artists should be looking for.
R.A. The Rugged Man – The People’s Champ (Video)
I have always loved R.A. The Rugged Man but as the years have gone by I feel like he has just gotten better and more polished. A consummate emcee. This track is produced by Apathy who has been on a tear lately (see the Demigodz album review). R.A. The Rugged Man showcases his dojo which includes every fight style imaginable, including, but not limited to, Watermelon Slicing and fighting with chainsaws. All standard fair. Legends Never Die is going to drop on April 30th and we are going to want to be looking out for that.

Sean Price – Bar-Barian (Video)
Sean Price provides the video for one of the cuts off of his Mic Tyson LP from late 2013. It looks like he found some actual barbarians for the video shoot so kudos on that. All in all it’s a dope cut.
