I really like Kenn Starr’s new album, Square One. He has a cool vibe about him that has a calming effect on his music. For instance, even on this song, where he is cleaning house of individuals who are weighing him down, he sounds so casual about it. It’s just a unique style. I am not up on Union Blak but the project is put out by the Effiscienz camp which has been on a roll as of late (ie Fel Sweetenberg’s latest album). Street English is a nice track that has a throwback appeal ala Gangstarr in the mid 90s and it happens to be the title track for the album dropping on February 9th.
