Cool FD laces a Spanish flavored banger for Mitch L. Hennessy’s latest single, Tres Gigantes. The song features King Of Spade and Jamil Honesty each delivering an assortment of dope rhymes alongside Hennessy. There is no shortage of talent on this track.
Red Pill – Ten Year Party (Video)
Can a man get some elbow room here? Red Pill is about as distinct as they come, both as a person, and as an artist. He is not going to live or make music to make other people happy. He is going to make the music he wants to make. Either you relate or you don’t. His music is certainly introspective and more than a tad self-deprecating, but that’s what makes him a must listen. He spits on what he knows and in his own words, he would rather live for ten years doing what he want, than live for seventy doing what someone else wants him to do.

Clean – Masochist (Video)
This is our first time featuring the artist, Clean. And he hits us hard with a soulful tale of man glutting for punishment by staying in and returning to a hurtful relationship. Sometimes trying to do the right thing just makes the suffering more intense. The instrumentation is on point and appropriate as Clean weaves the feelings and emotions of a man being trapped. I would think most of us have been there at one time or another.
Not sure if this is part of a larger project but I will stay tuned.
Worth Revisiting: ILL BILL – My Uncle (Video) (2008)
It’s really hard to believe this video dropped seven years ago. Time is just flying by me for sure. When this video dropped, I was truly impressed with artistic animation mixed with Ill Bill’s very personal song about Uncle Howie. The two just blended together seamlessly giving the listener/viewer a true sense of how someone can caught up in the streets and the vices there in.
The album this song is lifted off is called The Hour Of Reprisal.
Nomad Carlos – L.P.H. [(Los Pollos Hermanos)] (Video)
Oh shit. We have featured Nomad Carlos before but let me tell say, if you didn’t remember him then, you will remember him now. L.P.H. is a quick hitting banger that will certainly have you nodding your head and anticipating his upcoming EP, Distants. That will be coming available on April 28th. In the meantime, knock this in your whip at the max level.
Single You Out: William Cooper – Holy Mountain (ft Sean Price & Stoneface) (Produced by BP)
William Cooper and guests, Sean Price and Stoneface hop on this high energy beat provided by BP. The BPMs are ramped up for a fast paced banger in prelude to Cooper’s album release for God’s Will. The album is going to drop on May 5th.
Single You Out: Goldini Bagwell – Over Do (prod. by Smoke M2D6)
Goldini Bagwell continues with his Smoker’s Jacket Series with some more laid back, lyrical goodness. This is probably my favorite track thus far from the series. All of the music has been relatively laid back but I find this one to be exceptionally accessible. Bagwell narrates and the listener is captivated. This seems to be a resounding theme with the music he makes.
Single You Out: Dirt Platoon – Admire (prod. by DJ Low Cut)
This is the third single from Dirt Platoon’s latest album, Bare Face Robbery. This has been a ‘go-to’ album for me since it came out. I have at least bumped it ten times since it dropped, and that almost never happens in this day and age. Dirt Platoon and DJ Low Cut put a project together that’s simply laced with banger after banger. You never get any weak shit from these guys. They drop it strong and heavy.

Starvin B – Murder Finger (Video)
Dope new video from Starvin’ B’s new album, The Foreigner. The visuals on this cut kept me captured for the duration of the five minutes. Everything was on point from the story line to the lighting. Often times I feel that the videos artists put out aren’t half as dope as the song itself, but this one is truly on point.

Worth Revisiting: Cyne – Elephant Rome (2008)
In the vain of putting you onto (or reminding you) of dope music from a while back I put forth Cyne’s song, Elephant Rome, from their album, Pretty Dark Things which was released about seven years ago in 2008.
Cyne is an incredibly dope group who has over ten years of music that hip hop afcionados can sift through. It’s an impressive display of musical artistry and lyrical dexterity. There’s also something very distinctive in the quality of music that the group puts out. Certainly lots to love, as I am sure you will enjoy this track!
