Blaq Poet is back and bringing you that hardcore New York sound live and direct into your speakers! Poet has that grimy street hip-hop on lock and these two cuts are sure to knock for the masses.
Single You Out: Kore – Left Lane (ft. EMS)

Here’s a tight posse cut from the EMS unit off of Kore’s new album, Koreiculum, which is out now for purchase. Kore not only wrote the lyrics to the album but also produced all the tracks as well showing a great deal of talent in doing so. Of course, I am going to partial to this EMS posse cut, not only because of the depth of the talent pool, but the production sticks with you.
Awar – Spoils of War / Money Machine Music (Video)
Awar gives two tracks from his album, Spoils Of War, the cinematic treatment with a combined visual single. I listened to the album yesterday and it’s all the way dope. But these two tracks are among my favorite. I just really feel the lyricism and the vibe these joints provide. Dope and relatable. These tracks are produced by Vanderslice and Jake One respectively.
Single You Out: Watson & Holmes – Crawl Space (ft. Goretex)

Here’s a horrifying scene put together by none other than Blacastan and Stu Bangas (Watson & Holmes) with guest bars from Goretex. Bangas laces the haunting soundscape as though he was scoring a horror movie, while Blacastan and Goretex encourage you to check out the depths of their inhumanity in their crawl space…
New album is coming soon I presume.
Mooch – Can’t Relax (Video)
I honestly can’t get enough of Mooch’s new EP, Heroin Farms, which was produced entirely by FarmaBeats. Every song is potent on this project, and Can’t Relax is just another illustration. Mooch is going for the win, and when you are in for the success…you simply can’t relax. Da Cloth has mad some serious moves this year and the entire team is poised for that success.
DJ Muggs x Roc Marciano – E Train (Video)
Here’s another video single from DJ Muggs and Roc Marciano’s album, Kaos. This song just sound, looks, and feels like nostalgia. Muggs lacing the vibe with some dusty jazz flavor while Marciano fills in the gaps with a flow and rhymes completely unique to the industry. This collaborative project was a genius move. The two artists fit so well together.
Cymarshall Law – Bruce Lee Said (Video)
Cymarshall Law is back with another video single from his terrific album, Imperfectly Perfect. This time he is taking and imparting sage advice from martial arts master, Bruce Lee, over an asian inspired instrumentation. Law’s lyricism and intensity are unquestionably distinctive. Enjoy!
Reef The Lost Cause – Stay Golden (Video)
Here is the first video single from Reef The Lost Cause’s next album, The Majestic. Stay Golden offers what you have come to expect from Reef over the years. He’s got those sharp bars and a knack for formulating them into some ill verses. He does just that over some production from Caliph-NOW.
Nowaah the Flood x DirtyDiggs – GYHOMP (Video)
Nowaah The Flood follows the flute and drums of Dirty Diggs instrumental for the track GYHOMP (Get Your Hands Out My Pockets). Just like the rest of their project, Private Stock, this song is smooth, yet aggressive, and just plain fresh. One of my favorite projects this year for sure.
